How to make Pomfret tandoori recipe/tandoori pomfret

 Ingredients:

2 medium-sized pomfret fish

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 tablespoons tandoori masala

1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste

1 tablespoon yogurt

1 tablespoon red chili powder

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon cumin powder

1 teaspoon coriander powder

Salt to taste

2 tablespoons mustard oil

Fresh coriander leaves (cilantro) for garnish

Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

Clean the pomfret fish thoroughly. Make diagonal cuts on both sides of the fish to allow the marinade to penetrate better. Pat the fish dry with a paper towel.

In a bowl, mix lemon juice, tandoori masala, ginger-garlic paste, yogurt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt to make the marinade.

Apply the marinade generously over the pomfret fish, making sure to coat it well on both sides. Cover the fish and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes to an hour in the refrigerator. The longer you marinate, the better the flavors will penetrate the fish.

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or preheat your grill.

Grease a baking tray or line it with aluminum foil. Place the marinated pomfret fish on the tray and drizzle some oil over it.

Place the tray in the preheated oven or grill and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and has a golden color. If using an oven, you can also switch to the broil setting for the last 2-3 minutes to get a slightly charred effect on the fish.

Once the pomfret fish is cooked, remove it from the oven or grill and transfer it to a serving platter.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves (cilantro) and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.

Enjoy your delicious Tandoori Pomfret!
